Matthew Altro

Partner, Chief Operating Officer

Matthew Altro is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Altro & Associates, LLP. He is responsible for managing the core business aspects of the firm, including marketing, business strategy, operations, information technology, human resources and finance. Mr. Altro is responsible for managing the firm’s 8 offices and also plays a key role in creating and managing important business relationships / strategic alliances for the firm and its clients.

Matthew has developed specialized knowledge with respect to wealth planning issues for Canadians moving to the U.S. Working with various internal and external partners, Matthew guides clients through the myriad of immigration, tax, estate and financial issues facing a client seeking to depart Canada and establish residency in the U.S.

Prior to joining Altro & Associates, Mr. Altro worked as a project manager at Accenture, a world leader in IT and Management Consulting services. While at Accenture, Mr. Altro developed a deep expertise in the areas of Business Strategy, Project Design, and Client Relationship Management. Mr. Altro earned his B.Comm in Business Management from McGill University in 2000.
